RUIDOSO, N.M. – Recently Lincoln County Medical Center (LCMC) was named a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States.

LCMC was recognized for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for pneumonia and surgical care in The Joint Commission’s 2014 annual report “America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety.”

“Receiving Top Performer recognition recognizes the knowledge, teamwork and dedication of our entire team at Lincoln County Medical Center,” said Patsy Parker, RN, MSN, director of Patient Care Services for Lincoln County Medical Center.  “We are committed to improving positive patient outcomes through the use of evidence-based processes.”

LCMC is among 1,224 hospitals to meet or exceed target performance for 2013 and is one of only 314 hospitals to achieve the Top Performer distinction for the past three years.

“We are very proud to receive the Top Performer distinction for the third year in a row,” said Al Santos, hospital administrator, Lincoln County Medical Center. “This recognition demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, quality care to the communities that we serve.”
