Lincoln County Medical Center Welcomes Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner

RUIDOSO, N.M. – Lincoln County Medical Center (LCMC) is pleased to welcome Natalie McElhany, MSN, FNP-BC, a board-certified nurse practitioner.

“We are excited to have Natalie join our team of healthcare providers,” said Dr. Stephen Otero, Medical Director, Lincoln County Medical Center. “Natalie brings both nursing and counseling skills to Lincoln County Medical Center, which will help her to develop great relationships with our patients and their families.”

McElhany will initially see patients in the Emergency Department. She will eventually transition to seeing patients in the Family Medicine Clinic in the Physicians’ Office Building adjacent to the hospital.

McElhany joins LCMC from Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, where she worked in the adult medical/surgical intensive care unit. She earned her bachelor’s in nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center and master’s in nursing from Texas Woman’s University, both in Houston, Texas.  She also has a master’s in counseling from Sam Houston State University. McElhany is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Nurses Association.

“I am committed to a holistic approach to primary care and preventive medicine,” said McElhany. “I look forward to getting to know the residents of Lincoln County and working with them to improve their health.”
