Lincoln County Medical Center Welcomes New Orthopedic Surgeon

RUIDOSO, N.M. – Lincoln County Medical Center (LCMC) is pleased to welcome Hung Vu, M.D., P.A., orthopedic surgeon.

“Dr. Vu is a great addition to our experienced orthopedic team at Lincoln County Medical Center,” said Dr. Stephen Otero, Medical Director, Lincoln County Medical Center. “He brings nearly 30 years of physician experience and will treat both acute and chronic conditions of the bone, joints and muscles.”

Dr. Vu earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland University College in East Adelphi, Maryland, and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethseda, Maryland. He completed his orthopedic residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

After 22 years of service as an Orthopedic Surgeon, Flight Surgeon and Diving Medical Officer in the United States Army, Dr. Vu retired with the rank of Colonel in 2009. After retiring from active duty, he started his own private practice in El Paso, Texas.

“I am excited to join Lincoln County Medical Center,” said Dr. Vu. “I look forward to providing orthopedic surgery services to the residents of Ruidoso, Alamogordo, Lincoln County and Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation.”
