Lincoln County Medical Center Earns Baby-Friendly® Designation

January 29, 2020 In the News

In recognition of its commitment to exceptional care for mothers and babies, Lincoln County Medical Center (LCMC) has been named a Baby-Friendly® designated birth facility, the Ruidoso News reported.

This prestigious designation by Baby-Friendly USA, Inc. recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer breastfeeding mothers the information, confidence and skills needed to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies.

“This designation recognizes the incredible cooperation of our staff to create an environment that encourages breast feeding by providing support and education to new mothers,” said Todd Oberheu, hospital chief executive at LCMC.
